Using the correct location within a film trailer is vital as in the short time that a trailer lasts, the makers of the trailer have to create a certain atmosphere, for horror trailers they have to create a scary atmosphere, and by using specific locations the entire feel of a clip can be changed. For example by using an abandoned warehouse instead of a school you can change the atmosphere in a clip from a friendly natured place with a lot of energy to a dark, mysterious place where anything could happen.
