On the left is the format of the questionnaire we have used to discover what type of film people would most like to see. We have done this questionnaire in order to aid our group in coming to a conclusion on the sub genre of horror that we would like to produce. These questions helped to give us an idea of the sorts of film people like to see so that we can make our opening title sequence in this design in order to make our production as successful as possible. The answers to the questionnaire are as followed:
Gender:
40% of those questioned were female (8 people)
60% of those questioned were male (12 people)
Age:
10% of those asked were 14 years old or under (2 people)
60% of those asked were between the ages of 15 and 25 (12 people)
20% of those asked were between the ages of 26 and 49 (4 people)
10% of those asked were above the age of 50 (2 people)
Enjoy it?
15% of people asked enjoy all horror (3 people)
50% of people asked enjoy horror sometimes(10 people)
25% of people asked said they don't really like horror (5 people)
10% of people asked don't like horror (2 people)
Favourite sub genre:
15% of people asked said paranormal (3 people)
5% of people asked said supernatural (1 person)
40% of people asked said slasher (8 people)
25% of people asked said zombie (5 people)
5% of people asked said body horror (1 people)
10% of people asked said apocalyptic fiction (2 people)
How they make you feel?
50% of people asked said scared (10 people)
5% of people asked said nervous (1 person)
30% of people asked said excited (6 people)
15% of people asked said bored (3 people)
From this questionnaire we found that the majority of people enjoy slashers and zombies therefore we could incorporate those two sub genres in order to make the most popular opening title sequence as it will be better for those watching it if the majority enjoy it. Also the majority of people we asked were between the ages of 15 and 25 therefore for our opening title sequence we should be aiming it at people in this age group as those are the people who enjoy slasher and zombie films the most.
